Museum of the aquarelle
The Museum of the Aquearelle was founded on January 17th, 1993 and it is one of the most
prestigious museums on a worldwide scale.
It is found in the
center of Toluca and the address is Melchor Ocampo No.105 Col. La Merced y
Alameda if you ever want to check it out. It was settled on a house that
belongs to the XIX century that has the typical Toluqueño style.

This particular
museum provides visitors a guided tour in which they will explain about the
paintings and they also give classes to learn how to do this technique.

museum is:
-Tuesday to Saturday
from 10am to 6pm
-Sunday from 10am to
5pm

Adults $10 (Ten Mexican pesos)
Children $5 (Five Mexican pesos)
Wednesdays and

This museum has 7
rooms filled with engravings that go from religion in the XIV century until the
contemporary era. It counts with Mexican and international pieces to represent
the variety in this area of art.
This museum provides
a class to teach about the making of engravings called “Tinta Negra”

public the whole year and the schedule is very accessible.

MUSEO DE ARTE CONTEMPORÁNEO
This museum was
originally designed for a planetarium but was finally used for contemporary
art. The shape of this museum is very useful for a chronological order in
paintings.
It has been
collecting paintings from the previous museums and from donations of artists
interested in sharing the art and meaning of it.
